La Sicilian region presented to Trapani: Open tenders for over €700 million, supported with European and national funds.
The initiative is part of the series of territorial meetings “Cohesion Opportunities: Sicily itineraries for businesses, institutions, and third-sector organizations”, promoted by the Planning Department of the Presidency to bring the Funding opportunities for the ERDF and FSC 2021-2027 programmes. After Ragusa and Syracuse, the third stage took place in Fulvio Sodano Hall of the Trapani Town Hall.

The work was attended by managers and officials of the departments Production activities, Tourism, Environment, Energy, Water and waste.
Active warnings have been illustrated for over 510 million euros from the program Fesr 21-27 and for about 200 million byCohesion Agreement-FSC 21-27. Among those present were also the general managers Dario Cartabellotta (Productive activities) and Maria Concetta Antinoro (Tourism).

Opportunities illustrated

The calls concern:

• digitalization and business innovation, collaborative research and start-ups

• robotics and artificial intelligence

• human capital qualification

• incentives for the tourism and hotel sector

• improvement of forest areas

• energy efficiency of public buildings

• renewable energy communities

• innovative projects on renewable sources in the smaller islands

• integrated water service e composting

• infrastructure for waste collection and recycling

The Department of Productive Activities has also announced an imminent warning from 90 million for the energy requalification of companies (“Clean Industry”).

Focus on Trapani

Il City of Trapani, lead body of the Fua “Western Sicily”, illustrated interventions for approximately 65 million euro.
Projects have already been selected for 25 million, Including:

• sustainable urban transport

• waste reduction and recycling

• tourist reception systems

• redevelopment of the historical-artistic heritage

• public spaces for entrepreneurship

Meetings and insights

The initiative was divided into two information sessions, followed by thematic comparison tables between institutions, businesses and third sector bodies, with the aim of ensuring maximum participation and direct dialogue.
